Norway grants project

In April 30, 2024 Ltd “SFM Latvia” finished to implement the project “Introduction of new products into the production with an aim to reduce environmental impact and to promote the efficient use of natural resources” under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism Program (an open call “Implementation of green innovation and information and communication technology products in production” organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia within the Norwegian Financial Mechanism’s 2014-2021 Programme “Business Development, Innovation and SME’s”).

Project objective was to create an energy-efficient technological line through which the company would substantially modernize the existing production process and effectiveness, as well as would allow to introduce new, environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products into production – Forberg Batch mixer, Forberg Continuous Mixer, Forberg Rotating Mixer, Forberg Rotating Vacuum Coater, Forberg Drying System, Forberg Heat Treatment System, Forberg Mineral Wool Mills (hereinafter – Forberg production). The new technological line would contribute to the efficient and utmost usage of natural resources as well as promote the cleaner production process by significantly reducing both electricity consumption and air pollution. In this way, the company operating in the Jelgava region intends to promote a significant increase in production productivity and competitiveness along with a more modern, high-quality and productive production process.
